Gardening is not only for old people. It can be for kids too. Kids these days usually stay indoor and play games. For boys, they would think gardening is not cool, but actually it is the opposite of what they think. Cacti are really cool; they have spikes that are very sharp and is what a lot of boys like. Although I am interested in a lost of other hobbies, gardening cacti is one of my favorite.

I first began gardening when I was around 1st grade. At that time, I really wanted a pet, but then I thought that it takes too much time to take care of a pet. Also, when the pet dies, it would be sad for the owner, so I decided not to get a pet. Then my mom helped me start the process of gardening. She bought me a small cactus. Then I started accumulating more cacti every day. The process of gardening had begun.

Have you ever eaten a prickly pear before? Did you know cacti have fruits? I like to grow cacti for many reasons. The first reason is that the cacti are small and can fit in many places, for instance, the bathroom, by the windows, and pretty much anywhere. Another reason is that you can grow cacti very easily. You can just water it once, and then just leave it alone for about 2 weeks, and the cactus will be fine.

In conclusion, gardening cacti is a great and simple hobby. Now I also farm cacti to earn money. At the ICS carboot sale, I sold around 100 cacti for 10-100 baht each! As you can see, cacti farming would be interesting hobby for many people.
